Antique Asian export chalice is very impressive at 11" high and 5 3/4" in diameter.The chalice would probably hold a full liter of liquid. Scrolls, leaves, flowers, and praying temple Gods are running continuously around the cup. The front of the cup has a circle of unengraved silver flanked by two horse heads. This chalice was probably meant for presentation (a horse race?).

The interior of the cup has a gold wash and retains 80% of its original gilt. The cup is heavy and the work is beautifully done. The piece is unmarked but definitely solid silver
