Pictured above is a fine Silver Mounted Spanish Colonial Powder Horn, ca. 1840. It measures 19" long and 5" in diameter at its widest. These large sized powder horns were meant to be used with cannon. Carved into the horn is the National Crest of Uruguay, and the Initials " SH". The horn is silver mounted with a silver star on the end.

This is a fine example of a large and interesting powder horn. The carving and condition are excellent.
